This statement outlines Thomas Charles Facilities & Maintenance Ltd’s approach to waste-related registration, exemptions and responsible waste handling.

It should be read alongside our Waste Solutions page and E-Waste Data Handling Statement.

Our Approach

Thomas Charles Facilities & Maintenance Ltd aims to handle waste-related services responsibly and in line with applicable legal and environmental requirements.

Where waste removal, site clearance, e-waste collection or disposal support is arranged, TCFM will review the requirement and agree the suitable route forward with the client.

Waste Carrier Registration

TCFM holds waste carrier registration where required for the waste-related services it provides.

Waste Carrier Registration Number: CBDU268134

This registration should be checked against the current official register before publication or renewal.

Waste Exemptions

Where applicable, TCFM may rely on registered waste exemptions for certain lower-risk waste activities.

Examples may include exemptions connected with temporary storage, treatment or recovery activities where they apply to the agreed work.

Relevant exemptions should be checked against the current official register before being displayed or relied upon.

Registered exemptions, where applicable:

  • S2 Waste Exemption: WEX433828

  • T9 Waste Exemption: WEX433828

  • T11 Waste Exemption: EXP/WP3247YB

  • T12 Waste Exemption: WEX433828

Client Responsibility

Clients should provide accurate information about the waste requiring removal, including the type of waste, approximate quantity, site location, access arrangements and any known risks or restrictions.

Where waste may contain hazardous, confidential, data-bearing, electrical, specialist or restricted materials, this should be identified before collection so the appropriate route can be reviewed.

E-Waste and Data-Bearing Equipment

Where collections involve electrical or electronic waste, clients should identify any equipment that may contain personal, confidential or business-sensitive information before collection.

Data destruction, secure erasure, certification, specialist processing or data sanitisation should not be assumed unless specifically agreed in writing as part of the service.

Data Protection Registration Number: ZA482799

For further information, please see our E-Waste Data Handling Statement.

Responsible Disposal Routes

TCFM aims to support responsible disposal routes through registered waste carrier arrangements and suitable waste handling processes.

Where required, collection records or supporting information may be provided in line with the agreed service.

Limitations

TCFM will not accept waste where it is unsuitable, unsafe, incorrectly described, outside the agreed scope or requires a specialist route that has not been arranged.

Certain waste types may require additional review, documentation, specialist handling or separate arrangements before collection can take place.

Records

Where applicable, TCFM may retain waste collection information, contact details, site details, service records and supporting documentation for operational, legal, environmental, accounting or compliance purposes.

Review

This statement may be reviewed and updated as our services, registrations, exemptions, systems or legal requirements change.
